How to Build a Gang Sheet the Right Way — And Get It Printed Same Day

Gang sheets save time, cut costs, and maximize your print space. Here's exactly how to build one that comes out clean every time — and what to avoid so you're not reprinting.

What is a Gang Sheet?

A gang sheet is a single large sheet of DTF transfer film packed with multiple designs. Instead of printing one design per sheet, you combine everything — front prints, back prints, sleeve logos, neck tags — onto one sheet and print it all at once. Less waste. Lower cost. Faster production.

At Creative Age Studios, our gang sheets start at $5 and ship same day when ordered before 1PM. No minimums. Whether you need 3 designs or 30, one sheet handles it all.

Step-by-Step: Building Your Gang Sheet

       1. Prepare your files correctly
Every design should be a transparent background PNG at 300 DPI minimum. Low resolution files will print blurry — no exceptions. If your file has a white background, remove it before uploading.

       2. Know your sizes before you build

Standard chest prints are 10-12 inches wide. Sleeve prints run 3-4 inches. Neck tags are typically 2x2 or 3x3 inches. Plan your layout before you open the builder so you're not guessing.

       3. Pack the sheet tight — but leave breathing room

Leave at least 0.5 inches between each design. Too close and they're hard to cut. Too far and you're wasting space you're paying for. Our builder shows you real-time sheet coverage so you can maximize every inch.

       4. Order before 1PM for same day
Submit your gang sheet by 1PM Monday through Saturday and we'll have it ready same day. Local pickup in Fontana or shipping available on every order.
Pro tip from the studio:
Build your gang sheet around one garment run at a time. If you're printing 24 hoodies, figure out every placement you need — chest, back, sleeve, tag — and fit them all on one sheet. You'll cut your print cost in half compared to ordering separately.

Common Gang Sheet Mistakes to Avoid

The most common mistake we see is uploading JPEG files with white backgrounds. The printer can't remove the white — it will print as a white box around your design. Always use transparent PNG.

Second most common — designs that are too small. A design that looks great on your phone screen might print at 2 inches wide. Always check the actual print dimensions in the builder before submitting.
